Mood.

When you didn’t worry about your parents getting older.. just hated them for making you put away your shit

When you were too young to know what depression was and how fucking hard it was about to come at you

When days on the beach wasn’t something you needed to save up vacation days for

When the boy you liked in 8th grade wrote you poems because he hadn’t yet grown up to become a dick

When losing a best friend to drunk driving wasn’t a thing because you didn’t have licenses

When a single sentence couldn’t break your heart to a point of never making it whole again

When you had no clue what stress, bills, and unhealthy self medicating even was

When conversations about what you’re doing with your life, marriage, and children, didn’t exist

When you grow up, you were going to be a rock star – and that was that

When it didn’t matter that your eyebrows weren’t on point or your jeans were out of style

When Saturdays were for family game nights instead of getting blacked out

When your biggest worry was finishing your math homework before the teacher walked into class

When you were too innocent to know what suicide is

When juice boxes were fine because you didn’t need a pot of coffee to function

When playing Ghost in the Graveyard was preferred to Snapchat selfies
